Lloyd Whitehead came to Travel Adventures with an abundant amount of music classroom experience (to put it mildly). He received both a bachelors and a masters of Music Education from the University of Michigan and then followed that up with 32 years working in Michigan Public Schools in Ida, Michigan.

He has been a Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) Adjudicator since 1979 and was MSBOA President from 1992-95. He is an Instrumental Music Clinician and was the Michigan Band Director of the year in 1999. Currently Lloyd is an adjunct professor at Eastern Michigan University, supervising student teachers.

Lloyd also has many non-musical interests. He has been a commercial helicopter pilot, a professional contractor, a ski advisor/instructor and was once a member of a Scuba Search and Rescue.
