Ellis Island


Ellis Island was the nation's main point of entry for millions of immigrants from 1892 to 1924, exhibits here chronicle the history of the processing station and the island.  The site also includes the Immigration Library, an oral history studio, the American Immigrant Wall of Honor, and an audio tape tour. The Wall of Honor is a series of copper panels engraved with the names of nearly 200,000 immigrants that entered through Ellis.
