Take the famous Circle Line Ferry to Liberty Island, where you can stand at the feet of the 305-ft. world famous Statue of Liberty. A welcome for incoming immigrants into the United States, the statue was presented to the U.S. by France in 1884 in commemoration of the two countries' alliance during the American Revolution. Measuring 151 feet tall on a 154-foot pedestal, it is the tallest statue of modern times.
