Travel Adventures, one of the nation’s top student travel providers, is excited to announce the winners for their 2009 “Adventures in Creativity” Contests.
6th Annual Travel Adventures Photo Contest:
The Travel Adventures photo contest encourages students to submit photos showing one or more students having fun or engaged in a learning experience. The winning photographs are selected based on their creativity, composition and content.
Travel Adventures is excited to provide a cash award to the following three participants:
1st Place: Aaron Williams from Greenhills School in Michigan received a $200 cash award
2nd Place: Angel Estrada from Daytona State College-West Upward Bound Program in Florida received a $100 cash award
3rd Place: Stephen Huber from Our Lady of Victory in Michigan received a $50 cash award

Travel Adventures Essay/Journal Contest: New for 2009!
Students are encouraged to write an essay or travel journal about their class trip. The essay can be in traditional format or in the form of a journal or scrapbook. The students may use photos, videos, and/or sound to enhance their project.
Art students from Saugatuck High School in Michigan swept the top three prizes in 2009. The students were from Ms. Christa Wise’s art class that traveled to Detroit and Pittsburgh. The winners created trip journals that vividly depicted the highlights of their trip through artist drawings, writing and scrapbooking skills.
1st Place: Marlee Alexander received a $200 Barnes & Noble Gift Certificate
2nd Place: Katie Jo Nolan received a $100 Barnes & Noble Gift Certificate
3rd Place: Jennifer Fisher received a $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Certificate

Travel Adventures Video Contest: New for 2009!
Entrants must create a video documenting their travel experience. The video can be a documentary describing the benefits of student travel or educationally relevant events that occurred on the trip.
Travel Adventures is pleased to announce the 2009 winning video entry was from Harlingen High School South in Texas. The students were from Ms. Kathleen Alvizo’s choral class that traveled to New York City to see the Phantom of the Opera. The video highlighted the thoughts and reflections the students had during their experience in Manhattan. The school received a $100 gift certificate and a $250 scholarship to be used on future travel.
