Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade

Dating back to 1920, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade is the nation's oldest Thanksgiving parade.  It announces the arrival of the holiday season with beautiful floats, marching bands, musical guests, dance teams and lots of holiday spirit.
The 6ABC/IKEA Thanksgiving Day Parade. starts, rain or shine, on Thursday, Thanksgiving morning at 8:15 am at 20th and Market Streets in Philadelphia. The parade then heads east on Market to 15th Street where it turns left and heads north for two blocks to Arch Street where it turns onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and proceeds towards the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The parade will be broadcast throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania on Channel 6 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Dave Roberts, Cecily Tynan and Kelly Rippa will host the parade. Other Channel 6 anchors and reporters will be located along the parade route.
