Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Fiesta Latina aboard the Spirit of Chicago!

Now in its 10th year Fiesta Latina is a high-energy celebration. Chicago's Pilsen and Little Village areas offer a unique opportunity for your students to experience Hispanic culture and be immersed in the Spanish language.

La fiesta Empieza Aqui! Your evening in Chicago will be a celebration of Spanish culture at Fiesta Latina. The party starts with a delicious Latin-style dinner. Following the meal is an exciting presentation of folkloric and modern Latin dance. And then the real party begins with dancing and music! Students and adults will dance with instructors to live Latin music performed by an outstanding band from Chile. Contests, games and surprises all combine to make this an unforgettable evening.

There are many enriching activities that can be included in your two-day tour in addition to the fiesta:

A guided tour of the Pilsen Village area. Your guide will discuss Mexican culture and love of art by using the many wall murals in the area.
Visit the Mexican specialty stores in the Pilsen and Little Village areas. These may include a bakery, furniture store, pinata/candy store, and a discount mall. A terrific opportunity for students to practice their language skills.
Lunch at a Mexican restaurant where students will sample "authentic" Mexican food.
Exploring Mexican history with a visit to the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum
Participate in a one-hour Latin dance lesson so you are ready for the evening Fiesta!

Groups will also tour other Chicago area attractions as time allows!
