The Hoh Rainforest has a temperate coastal climate with summer temperatures above 80 degrees and towering Sitka spruce trees! The rainforest also contain magnificent moss areas and many other unusual plants. Woven into this amazing climate is a diverse population of animals, including the Roosevelt elk. Your students will want to spend hours in this living laboratory!
Kayaking and river rafting is avalaible in the Hon River. Student groups can see the Hoh Rainforest from a fresh perspective, away from the heavily trodden trails. Join those that dare to paddle through the class II water in the glacier fed Hoh River. Groups can conveniently be split into those who prefer to kayak and those who prefer to raft, while still staying together along the river.
